It rains everyday in Houston. The flowers are blooming. The grass is growing and healthy. And poison Ivy has taken over our back yard. Thanks to the rain!!!! Our lawn guy managed to pull the vine and its root from the ivy that was wrapped around our crape myrtles. But they had to be torn out too. Now, we are left with figuring out a way to kill it from our grass. It is spreading throughout or Saint Augustine grass in the back yard. Not an easy task, not a fun task, not something I wanted to hear on a Friday! Well, I know what we will be doing this weekend. Not to mention the Bermuda grass from the golf course is taking over our Saint Augustine grass in the back yard. The grass we spent a lot of money on last year to seed!!! God give me the strength today and this weekend. We will need it.
And just in case you're not sure what Poison Ivy looks like, here is a picture!! This is what you can expect it to look like this time of year.
