Kenny and I recently flew back to Jeffersonville Indiana (aka: The Jeff) for the annual Thunder over Louisville. We met our good friends Tres and Dani, who are living in Houston but grew up in The Jeff. They have been telling us about Thunder since we met and Kenny just happened to be In Indiana for work the same week as Thunder so I flew to meet him and attend the event. It was a great day, much colder than we packed for but managed to borrow some coats from Tres's father's family. We spent the day "tailgating" and visiting with a lot of people (pretty much all were customers of Kenny) and during the day there was a Military air show right over the Ohio River and it ended about 9pm with a HUGE HUGE fireworks show. The fireworks were awesome, lasting for 30 minutes and were synched with music through out the town. I think we may be going back again, and hopefully get to take the kids too. We did not leave with out a stop at the Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs to take a tour. It was very interesting and cool to watch the Derby a few weeks later and recognize the areas of Churchill Downs. Anyhoo, Here are a few pictures from our visit.
