One of our friends father is opening a New Orleans style restaurant in Sugar Land next week. We have been waiting for the grand opening for several months and the time has finally come. This week they were training the staff and taste testing the recipes from the chef. We were invited to eat, drink and offer suggestions. They are offering a Louisiana inspired menu with a setting that makes you feel like you're in New Orleans. The main feature is certainly the 14 foot oyster bar, where they will serve up Char-Grilled Oysters from a visible open grill. As with all new restaurants the staff could use more training and the chef could make sure there is shrimp in my shrimp, chicken and sausage pastalya next time, but I think this place could get some good business. It is located next to city hall and the Marriott Hotel. There are several eateries and bars in the area. Here are some pictures of the new place....
