I took the picture at the top of the page last week when we were in Pensacola. You can really see the damage just a small portion of the oil has caused to the beach. Heartbreaking!

White sand to pools of oil
Sadly, the white sand beaches of Pensacola Beach were struck today with thick pools of oil from the Gulf Oil Spill. I am so thankful we were able to see the beautiful white sand beach last week. It is such a shame and the more time it takes to cap this oil spill, the more beautiful white sand beaches will be destroyed. Not to mention all of the sea life who have to try and survive this disaster!
