In order to bake this great Chocolate Cake to celebrate National Chocolate Cake Day gather together the following ingredients to speed the baking process:
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 Ounces Powdered Chocolate
3/4 Cup Milk
1 Cup Cake Flour
1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Bowls
Mixing Spoons
Take the butter and cream it in a bowl until the butter is soft. Then take the sugar and add it to the mixture slowly. Separate the eggs. Take the egg yolk and beat, add to the butter and sugar, add flavoring, add chocolate. Then add the milk to the mixture.
Take the flour, salt, and baking powder and sift them together in a separate bowl. Add the flour, salt, and baking powder mix into the other mixture. Stir the batter and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour batter into greased cake pan and bake in oven at 350 Degrees for 30 minutes for layered cakes. About 40 to 50 minutes for a loaf cake.
